Installation– First, insert your vehicle’s seat belt into its buckle. The quick link should have been shipped in the “open” position. Slip the seat belt into the quick link and close the link by tightening the integrated nut. The quick link can be fastened to the seat belt in the “shoulder” section or the “lap” section of the belt – the “shoulder” section allows more mobility for your dog; the “lap” section allows less mobility. In the event of a sudden stop, the vehicle’s seat belt system will automatically lock, thus restricting your dog’s movement. We recommend using the restraint at its shortest setting to better secure your dog in this case
